Yoga For Mental Health Professional Workship Class 1 of 3 part Series
January 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th, February 3rd, 10th & 17th Every Tuesday at Strongoo in Geneva
A Professional Training for Therapists, Social Workers, Yoga Teachers & Wellness Providers This introductory module lays the groundwork for understanding the interplay between yoga and mental health.
Participants learn how yogic practices influence the nervous system, emotional regulation, and embodied awareness-and how these tools support trauma recovery, stress reduction, anxiety, and depression.
You Will Learn To:
• Understand the relationship between embodiment, regulation, and mental health
• Explore pranayama techniques to address anxiety, depression, and emotional imbalance
• Examine the energetic and emotional impact of foundational asanas
• Recognize and reframe habitual thought patterns through mindfulness and meditation
• Practice asanas, pranayama, and meditation for client and personal well-being
• Cultivate awareness, balance, and presence for therapeutic effectiveness
Continuing Education
30 CE Hours available for:
• Illinois Licensed Social Workers (LSW/LCSW)
• Licensed Clinical Social Workers
• Licensed Professional Counselors (LPC/LCPC) *Pending
Also eligible for Yoga Alliance CE hours (based on attendance).
