Reiki in the Aerial Yoga Hammock
Elevate your relaxation experience as you gracefully surrender to the embrace of a low-hanging aerial yoga hammock during this rejuvenating session. Feel the harmonious blend of energy work, restorative asana (postures), and the soothing essence of essential oils enveloping you in tranquility. Unwind, destress, and invite a profound sense of peace into your life. This holistic approach allows you to release tension, melt away worry, and grant your body the dedicated space and time it deserves to decompress. Rediscover balance and empower your body’s natural ability to facilitate healing. Embrace the serenity and transformation that awaits you.
Each session begins with a check-in to help set the intention for the energy, once the intention is set, you will rest in a couple of very relaxing and easily accessible restorative yoga postures with the hammock while being guided through a meditation to set the space for the session. Once the space is set, you will then be guided into the hammock where you will relax in the cocoon while receiving the supportive healing energy through each of your major energy centers. Sound healing can be incorporated into your session which can aid in deeper relaxation and help recharge your energy field with high vibrational frequencies. Following the session, you will have some time to be able to integrate your experience with Holly and she will provide you with a sheet where she recorded her findings and intuitive downloads during your session.
Aerial Yoga Sessions
Aerial Yoga offers you the opportunity to explore a yoga practice while supported by the hammock. The hammock aids the body in feeling less strain on your joints, more support to help you balance, and the unique experience of being able to decompress the spine through inversions without needing to have the strength necessary to do a handstand. Contrary to popular belief, it does not require a lot of upper body strength and actually can make a typical mat yoga practice more accessible by having the aid of the hammock.
Sessions can be scheduled for either traditional aerial yoga or restorative aerial yoga which are two totally different experiences. Traditional aerial yoga has the hammock set to the height of your hips and begins with a gentle warm-up for joint mobility from there the class shifts to activating your core muscles before proceeding through aerial yoga sequences that help you to lengthen, tone and condition your body to have improved flexibility, better balance and an overall heightened awareness of your body and how to recruit muscles when they are needed. Class always ends with a cocooned meditation where you are able to simply rest and enjoy a prolonged hug from the fabric while listening to soothing music and soaking in the uplifted energy you created during your class experience.
Restorative Aerial Yoga
Restorative aerial yoga requires the hammock to be set very low to the ground, just hovering several inches from the floor. The practice will utilize additional props and you will be led through a slow moving very relaxing class experience curated to help you decompress your nervous system, quiet the mind and allow your body to fully experience relaxation. Oftentimes, we do not realize how tense we are until we make the space for ourselves to relax. As always, no matter which style of class you choose, each class ends with the opportunity to surrender into your personal cocoon of relaxation while being hugged back into your wholeness with the fabric.
Please wear tops that cover your armpits, bottoms that cover to at least your knees. We do use yoga mats, so if you prefer to bring your own, please do. You may also want to bring your water bottle with to stay hydrated.
