Community Brings Hope and Strength: Monday Morning Fellowship

fellowship-blog

“In the shelter of each other, we find strength.” – Irish Proverb.

This beautifully emphasizes how community provides support and resilience when needed most, which is why we are building our Monday Morning Fellowship meetings.

Below is our preamble. If you resonate with it, we would love to see you Monday mornings, or at any of our groups at Torus.

At Torus, we come together in CommUNITY with a shared purpose: to unite like-minded individuals who seek to live in harmony with a higher power and believe in the transformative potential of collective healing. Through vulnerability, strength, wisdom, and encouragement, we support each other in cultivating inner peace.

As the world changes, we know we can be part of that change. By confronting our inner struggles, we create space for hope and healing to flourish—not just within ourselves, but in the world around us.

We strive to live by the following principles in our daily lives:

  • Surrender
  • Trust
  • Faith
  • Acceptance
  • Presence
  • Compassion
  • Forgiveness
  • Gratitude
  • Action

How It Works

Healing begins when we address the spirit. By surrendering to a higher power and engaging in prayer and meditation, we release the burdens that keep us trapped in shame, resentment, unforgiveness, and selfishness. Releasing these through action allows acceptance, presence, and spirit to work within us.

As we practice acceptance, trust takes root, leading to a continuous cycle of release and spiritual growth. This process fosters spiritual awakenings, expanding our awareness and deepening our connection to the divine.

However, true healing requires surrendering the need to control others or our circumstances. Spiritual growth happens when we release resistance and remain open to life’s unfolding, including its challenges and suffering. These experiences are not to be avoided but embraced as natural parts of our human journey.

In this cyclical way of being, we recognize that pain becomes harmful only when we resist it, trying to control it instead of allowing it to teach us. Awareness and growth arise when we are fully present with our minds, bodies, and hearts.

  • Mind: Presence helps us become aware of thoughts like judgment, blame, and criticism that pull us into anxiety or depression.
  • Heart: Presence allows us to feel and accept our emotions with kindness, fostering spiritual expansion through prayer, meditation, and surrender to a higher power.
  • Body: Presence invites us to notice any actions or inactions preventing us from moving into healthier living.

We also acknowledge that healing is not meant to be done alone. We need the support of guides and the community to help us reflect on ourselves through others and bring awareness to areas where shame, resentment, and selfishness still reside.

Together, in this fellowship, we can help one another grow spiritually, expand our awareness, and experience healing in mind, body, and soul.
