Roots of Resilience: EMDR Group Therapy
January 7, 2025 @ 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm
FreeRoots of Resilience: EMDR Group Therapy
January 7th to January 28th, Tuesdays from 3pm to 5pm
The connection to mental health is central to group EMDR because it offers an evidence-based therapeutic technique for addressing and healing emotional wounds, particularly those related to trauma, anxiety, depression, and PTSD. Group EMDR works by facilitating the processing of distressing memories and emotions, helping individuals reframe traumatic experiences and reduce their emotional intensity. By targeting maladaptive thought patterns and emotions, EMDR promotes mental health recovery, emotional regulation, and overall well-being.
In group settings, the shared healing experience can foster a sense of community and support, which can empower participants. It reduces isolation and provides validation opportunities, which are vital for improving mental health outcomes. Group EMDR offers a dual benefit: it supports mental health recovery while encouraging personal growth and self-exploration. The therapeutic process reduces emotional blockages and promotes greater self-awareness, which can lead to profound personal transformation.
