Torus’ goal is to continue to provide our community various offerings to encourage healing for the mind, body and spirit. Yoga Nidra is a powerful relaxation and meditation practice that guides individuals into a state of deep relaxation while maintaining full awareness and consciousness. In Yoga Nidra, the goal is to remain awake and alert while experiencing a state of profound relaxation similar to sleep.
Practicing Yoga Nidra one can experience stress reduction, improved sleep quality, relaxation, enhanced self-awareness, emotional healing, increased mindfulness, overall well-being, mental clarity, and inner peace.
During the month of May, join Tricia Fiske and experience the healing potential of Yoga Nidra through each of the 5 practices:
May 2nd Focus: Healing of the physical, energetic, mental or emotional body
May 9th Focus: Cognition focus is the process of quieting or soothing the more reactive, instinctual, and emotionally charged aspects of the mind
May 16th Focus: Heart Opening practice to connect with your inner knowing.
May 23rd Focus: SanKalpa Shakit to discover limitless power of will and determination
May 30th Focus: Full Practice
Although each is a stand-alone practice and offers a different focus, every session provides healing and supports overall well-being. You can sign up of each session or only the ones of interest.
Session Information:
- Each session is 60 minutes long
- Practice sitting up or laying down (participant’s choice)
- Dress in comfortable layers
- Props and mat provided
